Business Consultant, Project Portfolio Coordinator

As part of the establishment of the Joint Venture, MHI Vestas Offshore has established its own IT Department, which you will become part of. The department has the End2End responsibility of all IT and OT solutions, and we support and develop the business to handle the End2End setup from R&D to full service of offshore wind turbines.

You will take part in a very exciting journey and participate in developing the IT Department in a global environment. Our aim is to deliver a new ERP system and a cloud-based infrastructure supplying the users with easy-to-use, flexible, sustainable and secure business solutions. You will become part of a department with a very high team spirit and motivation for delivering excellent IT solutions to the business.

Responsibilities and tasks
As our new Project Portfolio Coordinator, you will be responsible for delivering top-end consultancy services to the business. You will coach and improve functional expertise of other IT colleagues, and you will mature, improve and implement Project Portfolio Management. You will also be responsible for creating, maintaining and enforcing a governance structure for utilisation of the Microsoft Operations Framework and for implementing this in the organisation. Your tasks will also include to:

  • Support reducing the lead time on getting SAP Access rights and improve the current setup
  • Participate in identifying business demands and effectively analyse and relate these to Dynamics AX/CRM Application capabilities in collaboration with the business stakeholders and application architect
  • Configure/build services according to Solution Design,
    compliant with IT development and architecture standards, and strive for
    utilising Dynamics AX Applications to its fullest
  • Participate in rolling out global standards and solutions
    for Dynamics AX/CRM Application 
  • Keep up to date with Dynamics AX/CRM
    Application technology and functionality, and drive global knowledge sharing
    activities related to this
  • Coordinate/conduct solution
  • Develop and maintain appropriate documentation

Professional and personal qualifications
You have solid practical experience with providing business-consulting services in relation to ERP system and Business Processes. Your theoretical skills match a Master’s degree in business/IT or similar experience. You have a strong ability to transform business requirements into IT solutions, combined with understanding of project work methodology related to IT projects in larger organisations. Moreover, we expect you to have the following qualifications:
  • Experience with implementing Operating Model and Project Portfolio
  • First-hand experience with designing taxonomies and implementing
    these in ERP Application
  • Some experience with ERP functionalities and with
    monitoring end user experiences and adapting ERP Application functionalities to
    optimise this
On a more personal level, we need an extrovert person with strong communication skills. You are proactive and self-driven, and you have strong personal impact towards stakeholders and the power to handle even tough discussions. You form a consensus for solutions that are achievable with standard functionality, and you are analytical, structured, methodological and diligent in documenting important information. You are able to act in a cross-cultural, global and very dynamic environment, with excellent English skills both verbally and in writing. Last but not least, you have a good sense of humour.

Some travelling, up to 20 days per year, is to be expected.
