MHI Vestas Offshore Wind is looking for an Electrical Safety & Energy Control Coordinator. The ECC is responsible for the overall execution of the Electrical Safety/Control of Hazardous Energy program at our Service sites. Reporting to the Head of Region the candidate will work closely with the Line Management and with the HSE Coordinators of the Region.
Responsibilities and tasks
The ECC’s main responsibilities are as follows:
- Is responsible for the overall execution of the Electrical Safety / Control
of Hazardous Energy program at our Service sites, and acts as a subject matter
expert for them
- Will ensure that the Hazardous Energy Control program and
Electrical Safety standards are implemented, enforced and maintained throughout
- Will administer the Electrical Safety Program in collaboration
with the site managers, and coordinate the work of various parties involved in
- Will provide Hazardous Energy Control training to the employees,
either as a Trainer or as a facilitator for the required training
support the documentation and record keeping for the program
- Will conduct
regular audits, inspections and reviews as required by the Hazardous Energy
- Will participate in subject matter workgroups, internal and
external in the industry, and share / gain knowledge
- Will report to the Head
of Region, and will closely work together with Line Management (Service Managers
and Supervisors) and with the HSE coordinators of the Region
Qualifications and work experience
The following competencies are key to the ideal candidate:
- The ECC must be a skilled electrical person, having an educational background
in Low / High Voltage, bachelor level or equivalent by experience
of EN50110, and relevant national standards (BE-AREI, NL-NEN)
- Have experience
with electrical safety (Lock Out Tag Out), electrical schemes,
- Preferably have technical knowledge and/or experience of wind
- Structured, systematic and good understanding of business
- Be able to conduct training in a classroom or group
- Fluent in English (verbally and in writing)
- MS Office
- Act as a role model in safe behavior
Having team-working skills is a great advantage given the close cooperation with Line Managers and HSE Coordinators on daily basis. Ideally the ECC is motivated by participating in setting the agenda and strives to achieve action leading to results.
