MHI Vestas Offshore Wind is looking for an experienced Logistics professional able to take responsibility for ensuring that we call materials and consumables from our suppliers in order to have them available for the production line according to schedule in the right quantity and quality respectively.

Responsibilities and tasks
The Logistics Call-off is responsible for managing the logistics process including sourcing-, buying-, ordering- and delivery-scheduling to ensure materials are ready as required to meet the production schedule.

Your main responsibilities will be as follows

  • Maintain high safety standards and work with the HSE department to report
    incidents and manage risks out of the process.
  • Establish relationships with
  • Analyse MRP in relation to requirements of the commodity including
    lead-time, order size and lastly securing supplier is delivering in relation to
    the latest Technical Purchasing Specification (TPS).
  • Be aware of
    Non-Conforming materials and implement corrective actions.
  • Establish
    processes to ensure commodity is delivered on schedule at the negotiated price
    and meets the quality standards of the company.
  • Responsible for the control
    of orders, amendments, shipping notices and other documents to assure accurate
    retention of records.
  • Minimize inventory values and always secure/optimise
    the inventory/ supply chain.
  • Evaluate material usage and initiates BOM
    changes and process improvements as needed.
  • Assist with ongoing projects such
    as Kanban set-up, uncontrolled floor stock and backflushing.
  • Prepare the
    weekly reporting and KPI’s.

Qualifications and work experience
The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience of logistics control in a manufacturing environment.

  • Professional qualification in Purchasing and supply chain is preferred, e.g.
    Bachelor of Science/Administration in Business Administration or SCM.
  • Six
    sigma experience (minimum Green Belt).
  • Experience in applying Lean

The candidate should master strong communication skills with fluent English (written and oral) and be comfortable communicating to all levels in the organisation. It is inevitable to be a team player and one must comprehend working in line- and matrix organizations. The understanding of safety, quality processes and reporting is crucial within the organisation.
Additionally the candidate should be able to use Microsoft Office more specifically Excel. Lastly, attention to detail is essential.
