MHI Vestas Offshore Wind is looking for a Maintenance Technician with experience of working safely in a 24 hour manufacturing environment. Ideally you will have practise working with electrical and mechanical machinery, power tools and lifting equipment. You will have the opportunity to develop a career in an international company within an exciting industry.
Responsibilities and tasks
The Maintenance Technicians will work in shifts in small teams of two maintaining all the production tools and equipment.
The manufacturing processes involve the use of epoxy based resin and hardeners, therefore this position may not be suitable for persons who have previously had a recorded reaction to such products.
Your main responsibilities will be
- Maintaining electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical equipment and hand
- Maintain calibration/measurement equipment and
- Interrogation of PLC controllers and systems.
- Administer the
maintenance systems with planned maintenance activities as well as responding to
- Keeping the work area safe and clean making use of 5S
- Contribute to supplier evaluation.
Qualifications and work experience
Having electrical qualifications would be of particular interest. Lastly, the ability to work in shifts is essential.
It is inevitable to be a team player and one must comprehend working in line- and matrix organizations Safety mind-set. The candidate should master strong communication skills with fluent English (written and oral) and be comfortable communicating to all levels in the organisation. One should be able to identify problem solving skills. A high degree of adaptability and flexibility is crucial and additionally being flexible to changing requirements. Lastly, the candidate should be able to use Microsoft Office more specifically Excel.
