You will become part of one of the Project Management Teams of Operations within MHI Vestas Offshore, which contains a group of highly motivated members primarily responsible for the installation and commissioning of offshore Wind Turbine Generators. Although this is our primary focus, our team also supports the rest of our value chain with our knowledge of construction projects.
Responsibilities and tasks
The Project Planner’s key role is to create and maintain the master programme on the project. In conjunction with the Project Director/Manager, the Planner also ensures that all key stakeholders are informed about the progress on the project and any significant deviations. In addition, the Planner ensures that input from the various areas are incorporated into the programme and kept up to date on an on-going basis through proactively seeking information from the organisation.
Main responsibilities are:
- Updating the programme in accordance with progress and changes introduced
during the project phase
- Assisting the project team with identifying the
critical path and pointing out relevant knock-on effects
- Overall project
planning in accordance with the company project model and employer’s overall
- Facilitating planning sessions and training the project in the
disciplines of effective planning
- Supporting the operational site management
with short-term planning tasks
Professional and personal qualifications
Ideally, you have a technical educational background combined with some years of working experience as a Project Planner in the industry. Experience from the offshore industry and large turbine construction projects is of great advantage. You are an experienced user of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project, and additional knowledge of Primavera provides added value. You are fluent in English, both in writing and speech, and finally, you need to have:
- Relevant education (e.g. engineering/construction background)
understanding and awareness
- Contractual understanding
- Experience with
larger construction projects
- At least two years of experience in a similar
- Sufficient knowledge of MPP and Primavera
