MHI Vestas Offshore Wind is looking for an experienced Quality Technician with experience of quality processes in a manufacturing environment, to take responsibility for ensuring production methods deliver consistently high quality output at our new blades production facility in Nakskov.

Responsibilities and tasks
The Quality Technician will be responsible for implementation of our Quality Management System with hands-on experience in the production processes. The processes will require the use of epoxy based resin and hardeners, therefore this position may not be suitable for persons who have previously had a recorded reaction to such products.
Your main responsibilities will be
- Implementation of Quality methods in the production process.
identification of critical issues, helping to prioritise improvement
- Updating and maintaining the Management System.
Quality performance to help initiate improvement activities.
- Involved in
delivering continuous improvement activities based on CAPA
- Involvement in the ISO 9001 certification processes together with
the overall Project Manager.
- Involvement in internal audit.
- Follow up on quality matters in general.
proper reporting as part of our continuous quality improvement.
- Review of
documentation before shipment to customers.
Qualifications and work experience
The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in a quality technician or inspector role in a manufacturing environment with experience of working with chemical and mechanical processes. Formal qualifications (HND/HNC/City & Guilds) would be an advantage, however are not a requirement. It is essential to have the ability to work in shifts.
- Understanding of audit process at minimum ISO 9001, if possible also ISO14001
- Experience of QMS according to ISO9001.
- Definition of
- Six sigma experience (minimum Green Belt) would be an
- Lean experience (minimum Green Belt) would be an advantage.
The candidate should master strong communication skills with fluent English (written and oral) and be comfortable communicating to all levels in the organisation. It is inevitable to be a team player and one must comprehend working in line- and matrix organizations, furthermore attention to detail is essential.
A high degree of analytical skills, be data-driven to measure, prove and present business results.
The candidate should be systematic and structured and naturally quality focused. It is important that you are independent, self-managing and proactive. Lastly one should lead by example setting the standard within health, safety and environment.
