As the Technical Coordinator, you will be the link between the local Benelux Service Organisation and our central Engineering Support department in Denmark. You will be the key player, and we will rely on you to secure that corporate standards are met, and maintain close contact between the local service teams and the back-up in Denmark.
Responsibilities and tasks
As our new Technical Coordinator, it is your job to ensure the highest possible quality in our products and processes, and make sure that our customers always meet a professional and highly committed service. Your main tasks will be:
- Support to the local service teams in Benelux in the monitoring, follow-up and assessment of the technical performance of the wind turbines and their major components
- Delivering top-end support to the local Service Management in their interaction with the customers on technical performance subjects
- Reviewing and analysing existing procedures/processes and proposing actions and solutions for technical and process improvements in cooperation with our central Engineering Support department
Among the tasks will also be to structure and improve the processes around technical data gathering (condition monitoring, oil and grease samples, etc.), and secure the implementation of all new procedures and processes to the local service teams.
Professional and personal qualifications
As a minimum, you hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering, combined with solid knowledge of wind turbine technology (drive train, blades, control systems, switch gear, etc.). Your expertise comes from +5 years’ experience in operations and/or maintenance of wind turbines. You have excellent MS Office skills and capabilities to write and review technical reports.
On a more personal level, we need an extrovert person with strong communication skills: You will build an interface between departments and establish contacts across the organisation. Consequently, you need to be open-minded with a cross-functional mindset. At the same time, you have to be able to explain and present technical subjects to colleagues of various professions and with various technical understanding. To be successful, you must thrive in the role as initiator and consultant, and you are characterised by drive and a positive energy that rubs off on your environment. You work persistently to achieve your goals, and although you are able to work independently, you are also a strong team player. You are analytical, structured and with a good understanding of business processes. Fluency in written and spoken English is a prerequisite for this position.
Regular travelling, mainly in the Benelux area, is to be expected.
